Join us in celebrating 26 years of Eagan's Wings and Kathy's inspiring journey as a survivor! We are thrilled to announce our continued support for metastatic breast cancer research through the Eagan's Wings Fund at the University of Minnesota Cancer Center.

Kathy's Journey (most of it)

September 2000
Kathy was first diagnosed with Stage 3 Metastatic Breast Cancer.
​
May 2001
First Eagan's Wings Team formed, participated in Race for the Cure for Susan G. Komen - MN.
​
Spring 2004
Kathy began 8 weeks of radiation, but cut it short to prioritize a family trip to Maui.
​
January 2016
Kathy fell and broke her femur, followed by extensive rehab and recovery.
​
Fall 2018
After 25+ years at Hoffmaster, Kathy retired. :)

TODAY
Kathy Celebrates 25
Years of Survivorship!

Spring 2001
After further testing, they found cancer in Kathy's bones, elevating it to Stage 4 Breast Cancer.
​
Fall 2003
After a car accident, Kathy learned she had a brain tumor the size of a plum. Tumor was removed December of 2003.
​
Summer 2005
Kathy started weekly treatment of Chemotherapy and Herceptin. Continued to work during all of this.
​
January 2017
Kathy found a cancerous lump at the top part of her chest, near her shoulder.
​
Spring 2022
Created the Eagan's Wings Fund for Metastatic Breast Cancer Research at the University of Minnesota.
